Savannah Shamrocks RFC (Rugby Football Club) is Rugby Union Team from Savannah, Georgia. It is a team that has a lot of history, The Club is formed from 1978 by Tom Nelson and Carl shoemaker first as to find something “different”.
The Savannah Shamrocks has both senior Men’s and Women’s teams, with coaching / supporting staff led by Mathew Midgett and Katryna Ritter and Home field located at Daffin Park, Savannah, GA.
The teams are members of Carolines Geographic Union and USA Rugby. Currently the Savannah Shamrocks are playing in the Carolines Geographic Rugby Union Division (CGRU) Division III Mens Gold and Carolines Geographic Rugby Union Division (CGRU) Division II Women’s.
Since the Savannah Shamrocks is a senior team, It means that they have player that is 18+, meaning that most people are working a full time job and coming in to training at night. Realizing that, I have came to question the reason behind the players coming to play and has landed on to the idea of a social club, a place hand out and exercise.
